Stomach cramps ?

Is stomach cramps normal after giving birth? I gave birth Friday morning forceps delivery. I'm still in Hosp as baby has had jaundice but I'm desperate to go home yet tonight I've had stomach cramps and had to rush to loo but worried to say anything as I'm hoping to come home today as if babies blood test comes back ok xx

Are they afterpains? Afterpains are quite common, especially with 2nd, 3rd, ect pregnancies. They feel like contractions all over again. I had them really bad with my last birth. They lasted about 5 days. But there were periods in those days that I thought I was going to give birth again, lol.
