Has anyone stopped co-sleeping gently with their LO? I desperately need ideas:flower:

Baby is 6 weeks old & we fell into full time co-sleeping as it was easiest way to get him to sleep but I am on struggle street big time.

I cannot sleep properly and at best get 3 x 1.5 hr blocks of sleep, and it is crappy half awake sleep. I feel like I'm going insane! I cannot sleep through the day as I have three other children and no one to give me a break to catch up. I am just wrecked. My husband gets up and takes him downstairs at 5.30/6am when I've had enough and am crying tired, baby feeds at 7am but that little block of sleep is my only solid sleep. I can't keep it up anymore but I'm too tired to handle him crying

Add to that baby has started catnapping through the day :dohh:

Little by little get him used to cot. Put him in it for naps then for the start of the night. I find lo does his long sleep stretch for 4-5 hours now at 9 weeks. go straight to bed to make most of when he is in cot!
