$ store hpt vs. frer digital

This morning, with smu, I took a $ store hpt and it was positive. I took two more around noon and they were faint, also. So I went and bought a digital frer and held my pee for almost four hours, it was very dark, and the test said "NO-". Aren't frer supposed to be more sensitive? Has anyone else had this happen? Should I be worried?

From what I have heard the digi's are not that sensitive. I would say to do dye tests first then wait a bit for the digi.

www.peeonastick.com has a table that will tell you the sensitivity of all the brands of pregnancy test...a digital test usually requires 50-100miu...VS the average line tests requires anywhere from 12.5 (FRER line tests) to 25 or higher on some cheaper brands.

Yeaa i just brought a 2n1 with the reg frer and a digital.. But i been reading on here that the frer is only for once u missed ur af......is this true????? How good are the digitals???

The digi's are good for after a missed AF since they're less sensitive, so it depends where in your cycle you are. If you're testing early, use a FRER dye test for sure.

I have heard many many stories where "normal" line tests showed up positive but a digi showed neg and they were indeed pregnant. Digis are absolutely less sensitive. I think a congratulations is in order!
