straining!

well lik the title says....all archie keeps doing is straining

im talking like fist clenching bright red face type straining with the noise they make as if he was going a poo lol but hes not n hes doing it all time i mean loads and loads wen i feed him too n its really grrrrr lol....is it just a phase or is it norrmal or wat? xx

Hi Babezone!

Have you started weaning him recently? The reason I ask is that when I started weaning Tristan, he got really constipated and kept straining to poo but wasn't able to - in fact, he once went one week without pooing! Eventually he managed to force one out but was crying a lot, so I went to the doctor with him. He advised us to give him lots of water and gave us some lactalose(sp?) to get things moving. My friend also advises giving things like apricots and prunes. Tristan is a lot better now.

naa hes been having food since 4months and his defo pooing ok like 3times a day....he just does this straining like all day lol like hes found a new noise but i jus hope it passes as quick as it came x
