strange blood results.

on day 21 of my cycle i had bloods takes.
LH 17.2
estrogen 221 possible leutnal or just low estrogen
progesterone 3.3 low or possible follicular phase
my dr says none of this makes sense to a normal cycle and has told me to go see my specialist.
anyone else had simular results and know what it could mean?

Did you actually ovulate on CD14? CD21 blood-work should be taken 7 days after OV; so it would be CD21 if you had ovulated on CD14. But most women don't actually OV on CD14... so it's important to know when you ovulated before going in for the test.

LH levels are tested usually on CD3, unless your doctor is trying to find some correlation between all of your test and results.

i have no idea if or when i ovulate. i think the results were just to check my hormones in general. i think the thing they were worried about is my estrogen is in late cycle phase, my Lh is in middle cycle and my progesterone is showing early cycle levels. yet they gave me no cause just said thats strange book in with your specialist

the test wanst done on day 21 for a purpose it just happens to be the day i went in for the test lol

I just think that is a strange way of doing blood-work for possible infertility issues... I really do think your doctor should have scheduled the tests accordingly, and not on just any random day of your cycle. It's actually highly ironic that you went in on CD21, because that is the text-book day for going in to check your progesterone!

Either way, if you can afford it, I would see the FS simply because I am sure he/she is going to know a lot more than your regular doctor. Not to criticize primary care physicians and OB/GYN's, but (in)fertility is generally not part of their repertoire. I just noticed that you have endo- the FS should definitely have more answers!

Also, it would probably help your FS to know if and when you are actually OV'ing each cycle. The best way to find out is to chart your BBT. I recommend using Fertility Friend online- it's free and easy to get the hang of.

well i just booked in for my specialist ob/gyn and got in for the 22nd so hopefully he will have more answers. its all so confusing. i think dr was just seeing if there has been anything majorly out of order because of my hairloss fatigue constant pain since beeing off the pill and moodiness and he wasnt real worried about cycle time however the outcome and worry still effects me knowing its out of wack and him having no answers.
