Strangest Symptom Ever!

Hello, I know this is a very strange symptom, but I would like to know if anyone has has experienced this.

For the last 5 days I have had a very strange sensation in my mouth. It is affecting my entire mouth, including tongue and gums. It's a numb feeling, as if the freezing from the dentist is wearing off. Yesterday I noticed sore like lesions on the inside on my bottom lip, and some other spots on the inside of my mouth. The sores don't hurt, it just looks as if they are fresh wounds. I went to the clinic, and they sent me for a tonne of blood work, he mentioned that this looks to be as if my blood is not clotting.

Help!

Didn't want to read and run but no I don't have that and didn't with my first. Glad you went to get it checked out! I've heard of gums bleeding and what not so it doesn't surprise me that there would be other mouth issues!

Also your immune system has to deal with things differently once preggo so it could be some bacteria or virus that has given you a small infection. Hope the blood work comes back with some answers for you!

I have heard of bleeding gums but not until later in pregnancy.

Hopefully the blood results provide some sort of explanation.

I'm sorry I'm not really much help either but I did want to mention that I had bleeding gums when I was pregnant with my son from the very beginning. In fact it was one of my very first symptoms (not this time though). So I wouldn't find it surprising if it's related to your pregnancy.

Unfortunately no. I went for tonnes of blood work, and everything came back fine. I haven't had the bleeding since, however I still have the numb feeling in my mouth. I have a midwife appointment this month, so I am going to mention it to them.
