Last Monday i had a mini stroke, they think triggered by having our baby, but i am also diabetic and a smoker - until tuesday when i see the non smoking clinic.

My question is, has anyone else had a stroke since having a child? Did it effect you having any more children?

((hugs)) - glad you are o.k. Good luck with the non smoking, my hubby gave up after years of smoking, its often about mental state of mind as much as the cravings - when hubby gave up (and stuck to it) he really wanted to give up.

Have no other advise/knowledge - just didn't want to read and run x

That must be so frightening! Make sure you get all the tests-lipids, scan, aspirin?, follow up, etc.

Good luck on quitting smoking-you can do iit!

    Thanks.
Ive been on asprin and some other meds and ive had a heart monitor that i had to waer for 24 hours, ive had no problems since, well saying that i have next to no strength in my left hand, even opening doors is a trial.

I have had social services put some hand rails and a seat for the bath and a frame that goes around the loo to help me on and off it, i feel like an old person. lol
