Strong pain on left side? Help :(

Hey ladies.

I'm 3 dpo today, but this started last night.

At first, I was having mild, AF-like cramps.
Then, the cramps stopped and I started getting these shoots of pain on my left side (like- left ovary). They were coming and going like clockwork, about every 20 seconds and they would last for about 5 seconds. The pain wasn't so bad that I was crying from it, or anything, but it definitely caused me to sit up and take notice.
I went to sleep last night and I woke up a few times in the middle of the night (not from the pains, just normal for me), and every time I woke up, the pain was still there, coming and going. A rare few times, it was on the right side, but it's about 99% left sided.
The pain stopped about 10 AM but it really freaked me out. This is my first cycle ttc and I'm now really worried that I may have a cyst or something

Anyone know what this could be? My friend suggested ovulation pains but I've never felt O pains like this before- or that lasted this long.

If anyone knows, I would appreciate input. Especially those of you that have had cysts before, if you think this is anything like that. :)

Hey Hun. I have quite severe ov pains and know exactly when I ovulate every month. Mine sometimes carry on a few days after ovulation.

I hope I didn't ovulate later than I thought. My Ttc buddy suggest ovulating a second time in one month, that would be strange!

Bump. I know a lot of these ladies have experienced cysts, hopefully someone can help. I read a few threads about cysts, maybe if nobody chimes in, you could start sending some PM's to thosw with similar threads & see they eventually found out. I have done that a few times and the ladies were veery helpful...

It could be ov pains hun. When ttc you start to notice everything. There's a chance you have had them before and just never noticed it. Try not to worry and jump to conclusions hun, see how it goes and if concerned maybe go to the Dr xxxx

Hi there! I have had ovarian cysts in the past and had one burst last year. Until it burst (which was seriously what I imagined labor pains to feel like...no bueno!!) I never even knew I had them. Since then my obgyn has monitored me consistently with ultrasounds....sometimes I have small ones that go away later in the cycle and this past time I had none. But like i said, until mine burst, it didn't cause me any trouble.

I have definitely had O pain last beyond when I believe I ovulated so that could be what's going on with you. I also agree with cookie88....now that we're TTC I am noticing EVERYTHING. I swear I can go from not pregnant to convinced I am just reading the TWW boards!

Dh and I are still BDing every other day, so if it was O pains I think I'm covered! Fx! Thanks for your help guys, I've kinda let it go cause it went away. If it comes back, I'll go get checked out. I've had little flutters and twinges since, but not close to being like that. I haven't had any twinges since last night though, and I was liking them cause they made me hopeful that this could be my month! Lol. Bring on fatigue and nausea!
