The pain is bad when i sit on the toilet, just to pee it hurts (cervix or uterus not bladder) to have a bm is exruciating. It feels like my insides are tearing. The only thing I can figure is my cervix is raw and the pressure down there irritates it when I do these things. It takes an extreme amount of concentration to make myself 'go' and ignore the pain

Is this normal? This really doesn't feel like the last time:(

i wanted to clarify too - this isn't like constipation - it doesn't hurt 'THERE' it hurts where my uterus/cervix is, and I'm not really straining either. Just the action of SITTING on the toilet, whatever muscles that uses/moves etc, causes pain in my pelvis.

Then any further action, BM being the most activity obviously, causes searing pain across the pelvis. The only thing I am coming up with is aggravated cervix and certain movements making it more sore. after this happened tonight, touching or bumping of the pelvis is pretty painful - my daughter was sitting on my lap snuggling before bed tonight and every time she repositioned herself I sucked in my breath. This just doesn't feel like before and I'm confused as to what it is. Is it because my uterus is contracting down? or did the surgery just cause my cervix to be overly raw and sore and it's just normal recovery. Sucks. I walk hunched over a bit when I get up from a seated position and I just don't feel like it's right is all. I would think I'd be getting better 5 days out from surgery, yet it feels like it's getting worse :(

I did not have that. I had some feeling like insides were falling out but it was not painfull more mentally of an issue. And also this was only hours after I delivered and not days. The first poop felt this way but soon as it came out I was alot more relaxed.

I think I would go see a gyn that is NOT with the place that did your DC as you seem to be suffering alot. I would get opinion if they messed something up/if your body is ok now.

Oh Tina_TTC so sorry to hear about your pain!!!! I would definitely see a specialist. If it causes you to keel over I would go to emerg!!! I hope you're okay!!! Xoxo

Well I think I might have found what was causing some of the worst pain. I could be crazy - but - late yesterday afternoon, I passed a VERY HARD clot - we're talking it was the feel of hard rubber. It wasn't very big - maybe an inch and a half long, and not as thick as your little finger.

however, after that, i passed some smaller, softer clots, and it seemed the intense pain around my cervix when using the restroom has eased A LOT. I am actually thinking that thing may have been stuck in the cervix for the past few days, and every time I sat on the toilet it was causing pretty strong pain.

I woke up this morning feeling somewhat normal. the cervix still hurts when I sit down, but it's not suck in my breath and breathe fast for a minute until the pain subsides, pain. Just 'there'.

I've read about pain easing after clots passing, and I am not sure if this is the end of the pain, or if I'm really turning the corner, but it's nicer to not feel that intense pain anymore.

Seriously though, a HARD clot? what the heck? the other ones have been as expected, soft/jelly like, but this thing was like rubber. Could it have been tissue/placenta do you think? it was black/red like a clot, but I can't imagine a clot being so hard. I know blood dries and scabs, but inside you it can't dry out, so I'm lost.

oh well. At least the worst pain is gone it seems for now and hopefully for good!

Strange. Glad pain is not bad now. I did not pass anything that was like that. Placenta was a bit more firm but not nearly what you describe. I passed chunks mainly that were liver looking and pretty large right after baby, mostly within few hours it was period like bleeding.

I also had a weird pain when I sat on a toilet, and especially when I peed. I felt it in my cervix (or it seemed like it anyway) as well. It was almost the sensation of my reproductive organs falling out of my body, like kittycat described. Mine was not intensely painful, though - it was just an ache but nothing too troubling. I am glad some of the pain has dissipated now!

I had bad cramps that kept me awake all night about 5 days post d&c but nothing as bad as you described. The next morning there were some big clots so I called the OGBYN and he said the contractions are to help get the clots out. It only lasted one day.

I am so sorry it was so agonizing for so long!! Glad to hear you're better now.

if it keeps up see your ob, it maybe an infection (hug)
