we initially had some problems with bfing but for a good few weeks now everything has been great. but for the last week i would say, things have been difficult. she is very fussy latching and then on the breast. she grabs my nipple and pulls her head back, and generally really wriggles a lot. also she seems to be wanting a lot for comfort, she will feed properly for a while, then just comfort. if i pull away she gets extra niggly until she gets boob back again. she is wanting me every 2 - 3 hours and i would say she is only properly feeding for 10 mins at a time. i am giving both boobs at each feed as well. my nipples are now sore and im sure the latch is fine, i think its due to all the messing around. i try winding but she doesnt seem to have much or any, so dont know what else is could be wrong. could it be she is teething and its comfort she wants? why the fighting though? im getting frustrated again after all this time!

Teething or wind spring to mind to me.......

this sounds exactly the same prob im having except for the age difference

leyla does this too, for me its that i dont have enough milk so she gets frustrated, for you i would say yeh maybe she has wind, if ur burping her and nothing is coming up ive found that lying them on their bellies across ur knee and patting their back helps get awkward burps up

thanks girls

i did wonder about teeth as she has had rosy cheeks and is very slobbery too.

ive worried about my supply but i think thats fine. she is content in between, not crying hungry so i think it must be wind. ill try putting her on my knee

Dont let doubts creep in about your supply babe - it's very rare to have actual supply problems but it's very common to incorrectly blame various issues on that when doubt creeps in. :D
