Stupid Question- I know!!!

When they say to wait until appx 12 weeks to be in the "safe zone", do they mean 12 weeks from LMP or from date of conception? In my case, they're 3 weeks apart since my ovulation was delayed a week after stopping BCP July 18th...Thanks much!
