Stupid Tesco's :(

I really need to rant, I ordered for delivery between 2pm-4pm it didnt get delivered so 55 minutes later I rang them. After three different phone calls they said the driver called to say it couldnt be delivered and spoke to a man!!! Considering I am a single Mummy and have been home alone all day how the f**k could he have spoken to a man??? They said they have to believe him over me as he is adamant, what happened to the customer is always right?

Eventually it turned out that they cant refund until Monday, I cant go and get it as it came from a .com store not a proper one so it isnt open to customers, if I want a redelivery they will charge me again but they just took the last of my money.

I was crying cos I have no money and no food for my children, he said that he cant consider outside factors and perhaps I should of thought about my budget!!!!

It really is the straw that broke the camels back, I have been through so much lately and now the tears wont stop, it is just one thing after another.

That's awful!

Did they say why it couldn't be delivered anyway - as in what did they tell this mystery man - because surely if they cancelled through fault of their own, they should be making every effort to reimburse you quickly or at least provide you with a slot ASAP.

I'd be writing a letter of complaint to Tesco Head Office to address attitude, lack of compassion and also procedure.

In the short term, do you have food/money for the next couple of days?

They said the road is closed which it isnt, it is further down the road over the bridge which is closed.

I am going to complain on Monday morning.

I managed to pull a few things together for my children for dinner, but there is literally nothing for me, I could do with losing some extra pounds any way

And we are at my parents tomorrow cos I am cooking a roast for my brother (parents are away), so will just get there early so they can have breakfast. I know I should of budgeted better but I have only just become a single Mummy so am living on CTC for now until everything is sorted out.

Aww hun, I'm really sorry to hear that. I don't know your situation but I can completely understand why the tears were flowing now!

Make sure your letter/email to them is very strongly worded, and don't forget to let us know how it turns out.

Write to Head office and file a formal complaint - was it deffo your number on the order and like, not your ex's?

If so, then ask them to explain how the driver spoke to a man when there are NO men at your residence? I bet the driver is lying and just ran out of time or got lost !!

I have only ever ONCE had them call me when they got royally lost.

Id report it to trading standards and and put in a formal complaint to head office...how dare they talk to someone like that! Rude rude people!! My Hormones are raging at the mo il ring them for you lol!!! xx

Thanks girls, I am calm now, just every thing getting to me.

I double checked with them when they said they spoke to a man and it was my number they had, they said they are going to investigate, his going to look a right knob when there is no call log to me.
