Hi Ladies (do we have gents too? hi if we do ;) )

I'm Nixie, I'm gonna be 33 this year and we've decided it's time to try for a baby. :) My sister gets pregnant at the drop of a hat which is turning out to be some what frustrating as I'm on my 4th cycle since my coil was removed (why did no one tell me how bad they were for you? I think I had PMT for 2 years!). Did I mention sister's got pregnant during those 4 cycles with baby number FOUR!?!
Dont know if it's my age or the coil remnants or stress or .... I dunno.
I've become a POAS addict. How much money can I waste on BFN tests :(
Anyway just wanted a bit of a whinge. Me and OH are getting married this week - was hoping for one heck of a wedding present but alas not to be. I know I've not been trying as long as a lot of you ladies but I'm already frustrated and an emotional wreck, sister gets preg within one month after coming off BC each time. I guess I thought I'd be the same.
You read so much as to why it cant happen.
I'm beating my self up as well as I had a bad smear test a couple of years back and what we'll call the "hot cheese wire treatment" doc says it's all okay in there but I'm still fearful that this will cause a problem. Arrghhhhhh.

Anyone get a BFP within a reasonable time of Coil removal?
How about a BFP after the hot cheese wire treatment?

Soppy mare looking for a bit of reassurance I guess LOL

(who MUST NOT read other ladies letters to Mr Storky - makes me cry ;) )

I hope your wedding goes well hun and you have a lovely day.

What coil did you have? I had my coil removed last month so cant answer that but hopefully we both get our BFP's soon *hugs*

PS. I know its hard but try to remember 80& of ladies conceive within 12 months of coil removal. And a 'healthy' couple has a 20-30% chance of conceiving each month. Unfortunately our bodies have to settle down after getting the pesky coil out and also I remember hopw stressed I was when I got married and stress can be a big factor in TTC issues. Perhaps you'll be lucky and get a honeymoon baby???!!! That would be lovely!!!!!!

Hiya huni, I feel your pain.

My sister is the same and here I am still :sex: like rabbits everymonth, not that i'm complaining :winkwink:

I came off the Pill at the begining of the year and if anyone had told me about the crap you go through coming off it I would never have gone on it, but the last 3 mths seems to have settled into every 30 days and my last cycle seems to have been normal so fingers x'd.

Have a fab wedding huni, enjoy the day and take some time during the day to stand and watch with you hubby and take it all in, it goes sooo fast xxx

good luck hun, hope you have a great wedding and come home with a lovely gift xxx

Hmm... what is the hot cheese wire treatment. Is it the procedure to remove nasty (abnormal) cells - a loop diathermy? If so, I had one of those also and fell preg with my son about 12 months later but I wasnt really TTC at the time. So, it shouldnt affect your fertility.

..and I hope you have a wonderful, magical wedding!

Oooh a wedding :) I enjoyed my day so much (1st May 2010) - but it does go so fast. Try to relax a little (impossible I know) and leave the TTC till your honeymoon.

Have a great day, and think good thoughts for a relaxed and productive honeymoon :)

Thanks Ladies :)
Wedding stress - you wouldnt believe, even though it's just family and really low key :D
Thanks for the well wishes :D Honeymoon baby would be amazing :)

Mellybelle - yep thats the procedure I had. Nice to know someone who's gone on to be a mummy :) (I never quite belive what the doc tells me these days ;) )

Here's to removing the stress :D

Baby dust for everyone :)

NixieNoo.

My gynae told me 1 loop diathermy should not affect you at all (except remove the nasty cells that can turn cancerous), even two is ok, but if you go on to have 3 or 4, there is a chance of damaging your cervix possibly making it difficult to carry a pregnancy through to full term, but even then they stitch? (cant remember) the cervix to keep it closed.

Enjoy your wedding, have a few glasses of wine and not feel guilty about it. Enjoy your husband and focus on this wonderful time. Take a breath and then start again with the tcc after your honeymoon!

Bless you and all the new adventures that await you!!
