Suck, suck, swallow...OUCH!

Thomas and his damn teeth . I want to continue breastfeeding for as long as possible, but his bottom teeth are killing me. I can feel them resting against the skin under my nipple, and when he does a couple of sucks it's ok, but on the swallow his teeth dig in and it hurts so much. I can only handle it for a few "bites" then I have to remove my breast or I'll be crying.

Do they not put their tongue out over the teeth past a certain age?

To replicate the pain I have to dig my fingernails in really hard, so he's obviously clamping down quite strongly.

It's only been an issue for the last month, and he's had a lot of teeth for a long time...I don't get it .

When my little one gets like this I jsut keep unlatching and relatching him til he seems to realise that he's not supposed to dig his teeth into me. I'm sure you've already tried this though! I'll stalk this post in the hopes that some other ladies have better ideas
