Liam aint hungry but hes starting to suck everything his clothes, scratch mits any fists any ideas why? or is there any toys suitable for him to suck hes 10 weeks old
he's just exploring! the mouth is like a third hand. that's what my Mum says anyway. Get him a little teether toy or a rattle or something. They make them suitable for newborns.
That's just what babies do. You buy all these toys but they like their shirt or their own hand better then anything you've bought! And as bethanylee said, they use they're mouth as a third hand. They discover things by using there mouth to figure out what something is.
Ha ha - Harry has just started doing this too in the past week or so! He's definitely started to discover his mouth. He pulls his top lip in with his tongue, makes funny clicking noises, has started gurgling LOADS and is putting EVERYTHING in his mouth.... fists, sleeves, bibs - everything! I'm constantly changing his bibs as they're soaked, and have given up with mittens!
What the others said Hannah still sucks on almost everything and if she sees something new she gives it a taste
