I'm only 27+2 but I am sooo impatient to start washing Bee's nappies and clothes and to pack our hospital bags.

Anyone else feeling the same?

Yes, I can't wait! I have been buying bits for my hospital bag here and there because I'm so impatient. I'm only 31 weeks :dohh:

It's never too early too start. I started early too and thank God I did cuz all I want to do these days is sleep. You get started!

Heehee, thanks Hope. :) I think maybe I will get started then! X

My hospital bag has been packed for at least 2 weeks already!! At DH's insistence, not mine. I'm holding off on washing the clothes I've bought until we've had our baby shower, and I have NO idea when that is :dohh: For some reason DH is determined that it will be a big suprise  I don't want to wash all the clothes only to find out that after the shower I have too many in one size, so I've left all the tags etc on so that once shower has happened I can return clothes if I need to.

I felt the same at about 28 weeks.

I resisted though as knew deep down if I washed the clothes at around 28 weeks I'd end up doing them again nearer my due date :haha:

I waited and started washing them about 2 weeks ago.

I have my hospital bag packed with a while, i don't think you can do it too early :) was at the doctors today and they said i'm measuring at 30 weeks even though i thought i was only 28.5. I know its only a week and a half more but can't wait :happydance:

Thanks ladies.

I think what I'm going to do is maybe compromise, enough to calm me down, but not go too crazy.

I don't want to unpack loads of bits and de-tag them and wash them, just in case she's HUGE or turns out to be a boy and then I can't return the bits.

But I might soak and pre-wash some of my nappy bits as I know that needs doing. And I think maybe I'll get the bag out I plan to use for the hospital and just put bits in there as I buy them, and then at least all my hospital stuff is together.

27 weeks tomorrow but popping in early for a look see.
I've had my bags packed since 12 weeks. Not fully but with new pjs, duplicate toiletries and a new wash bag etc. I don't think there's any harm in packing now.
I haven't washed anything yet though as I know I'll hve to do them again and I'll want some thing to do on mat leave.

iv washed all lil mans cloths and blankets:) && just gunna wash what ever else i buy:) & im going to pack my bag at 35weeks:),xx

I've been washing baby's clothes since I started purchasing them around 21 weeks... haha along with his blankets, etc. I am going to wait to clean his cloth diapers though, I'll do 1 massive load once I get my whole lot :) I've got 10 now!

I've washed all the second hand stuff already. Just this weekend I pulled the stuff with tags off the store hangers, took off tags and put them in the hamper. That way I feel like I'm making progress but I don't feel the need to do it all at once either. My next goal is to find a bag for my hospital bag and start that. Probably this weekend!

Yes! I'm going shopping in a few weeks to start buying my hospital bag bits! I've already washed some baby clothes but ill probably wash them again nearer the time! Hehe!!!

Xxx

Iv washed a few things lol and iv washed the second hand clothes i have been given and ill wash these again nearer the time also, iv also just started to pack my bag lol!! Xxx

I have the same thing! 27 weeks here too. I am to the point I have removed any tags (all but a handful were secondhand), unsnapped/unzipped, turned prints wrong side out, and placed it all in a basket to wash.

Most of my stuff is 0-3 and all gender neutral. I have a few newbown onesies and one sleep & play, but the rest is 0-3. That way if baby is big I am okay. I plan to wash it now and probably again before baby is born, but since they are second hand I wanted to wash them twice anyway because I am a worrier like that...

90% of the clothes I have purchased is second hand, and I washed all of the newborn to 6 month stuff yesterday. Washing receiving blankets, wash clothes, hooded towels and blankets today. I am also almost done prepping my prefold diapers (they need about 8 washes before they're ready).

I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow and dying to start getting hospital bag together, and putting up baby clothes. I'm going to have to wait until after my shower to put them up tho because I'm getting baby's nursery furniture at my shower. Which is March 9th. It's driving me insane that I don't have anywhere to put the clothes!

Lucky, they are talking about throwing my shower in early April. I don't want to wait that long!!!

I've had mine packed since 30 weeks anything I couldn't put in I've written on a list... As for clothes... I'm glad I washed them at 30 weeks, I'm too tired to do anything now and it was such a big task!! Better to be too organised than not organised enough right?

Yeah I'm glad my shower is in less than a month. I am going crazy waiting!! One thing that's helping is the milestones and stuff I have between now and then so it makes it go by a little easier. I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow (but i'm not sure if i'm going to consider myself 3rd tri at 27 or 28 weeks?!) then we're having our 3D ultrasound on the 23rd..then 2 weeks after that is the shower! Eeeek!
