I woke up around 1am last night with an awful pain in my lower abdomen. It was awful, but it only lasted about 1-2 minutes and then it went away. I noticed I had to pee, could it have just been that? I also couldn't go #2 at all yesterday so maybe just my bowels full? I feel like because it was so quick and not persistent that I shouldn't worry, just thought I'd see if anyone has had this happen too. I'm 7 weeks by the way.

Could have been a bowel thing... I'm having lots of problems in that department.

I had unbearable pain from lack of movement with bowels. It scared me a lot, but it should be okay.
Try lots of orange juice, apparently that helps move things along quicker and may cause less discomfort.
Nothing worse than a full bladder as well as bowel pain.

Xx

Bowel problems can definitely cause sharp pains - a lot of my IBS is linked to really painful cramps in the middle of the night and these happen even when I'm not pregnant xx

Thanks ladies, this is my first so I'm a nervous wreck!

i had this a few wakes ago..... woke up with the worst pain i was on all fours crying! i rang the doctors who said take it easy, it eased once i lay on my left side..... turns out it was gas!!!:winkwink:

Good to know, thank you! I stretched out straight and it went away. It only lasted about a minute though, it just seriously felt like someone had stabbed me in the uterus. Dang gas! We're so lady like when we're pregnant. Haha!

make the most of it.... the only time we'd ever get away with it!:happydance:
