suprise sweep !! (a little long)

hiya,
i had my mw check up todau 39+ 2, but yesterday i was feeling really ill had headache most the day and a nosebleed to boot so i slept as much as poss. today at mw she asked me about wiggles movements and i said that i hadnt had a lot but then again as i had slept i wasnt suprised so everything else beeing ok she still sent me the hospital?!?!? they put me on the trace maachine and in 30 mins i was showing a lot of tightenings not painful but uncomfy/niggly, this mw said il give you a quick exam see where we are, GREAT i thought she had a quick feel then said oh why im here and she gave me a sweep !!!! chuffed she said if i dnt see you later come back tomorrow for day asses and we will see what we can do lol so ive had a hot bath and a cold tip top what else girls lol (and id just booked my midwife for a sweep on the 9th bonus) so lets hear your positive sweep stories please xxx

I've not got any experience but maybe some sex and a long walk?
That's really good that she actually took the initiative and offered I think I'll end up needing to beg for one when the time comes

Most Mw give ones as procedure, but im asking not to have one if needed otherwise some actually do it and tell you afterwards.

i think once you get a sweep theres nothing you can really do to help labour along... as most techniques mimic a sweep... id suggest keep active and let gravity do its bit good luck xx
