If you arent recieving any benefits then you wont get it just now.

If you recieve higher child tax credits after baby is born, then you will be entitled and can reapply within 3 months

    apparantly....

Just make sure you apply for tax credits asap

My lo was born at end of July when everyone returns had to be in and if I'd not got it before lo arrived I wouldn't have got it as it took nearly 5 months for tax credits to come through as they were busy

This date only relates to 2nd or more pregnancy. It shouldn't affect you.

As others said, if they decline now reapply after babies born (within 3mths) if you're on higher rate of Tax Credit & with a wage of £850 per month, I'd assume you will be.

everyone with a child under 1 recieves more than the family element, due to you recieveing the baby element too :) so your best applying once this applies to you (after baby is born) xx

I think we're talking about two different things. The baby element for child benefits stops in April and sure start is for first babies only from April :flower:
