Surestart maternity grant help please!

HI ladies

Just a quick question, I applied for Income support on Wednesday and yesterday i had my interview I am nearly 30 weeks pregnant and would like to send off my Sure start maternity grant form...I was just wondering now i have had my interview am i Now officially on Income support,..??

At the interview the man i saw just took some details and photo copied my I.D, so even though i wont receive any payment for the next 2 weeks but if i fill out my sure start grant for would i say i am on income support or would i say i am waiting to hear about a claim for income support..??

yr waiting to hear untill you receive yr letter from income support saying you are entitled you then need to send this letter with yr surestart grant form. it doesnt tell you to send any evidence on the form but if you do you will get yr money much quicker i sent mine off with my income support and child tax credit letters like my mw told me to and got my money in 8 days x

Yes you can now say your on income support,the interview is the final sorting out and when thats done they transfer you over then just wait for your payment. as soon as i had my interview i sent my forms off a few days later
