Hi Ladies (& Gents)

I've posted this in 2nd Trimester and in Teen Pregnancy, but though I'd see if anyone else had any ideas

At the minute I'm at University in Derby, I'l be here until I'm 38weeks pregnant! But once I've finished this year, I'l be moving back home to Milton Keynes!

I was just wondering if anyone has moved hospitals / areas whilst pregnant?! And what happened?!

And does any one know if I have to change midwives and everything, or will they just need to know I'l be having it at a different hospital?!

My main worry, is that Milton Keynes hospital won't have my notes ; that I won't get to tour the hospital ; that I'l struggle with getting midwife / HV appointments after having baby!

I have my next appointment with my midwife at 16weeks, so I'm going to try talk to her about it then! But I was just wondering if anyone had any similar experiences?!

Thanks :flower:

Im wondering the exact same, As i shall be transferring late in my pregnancy also.

Would be good to hear all advice :) xx

I transferred hospitals, but it wasn't that late on. All I did was tell my MW and she filled out some forms. You may need to do it ahead of time with it being so late on.

Have you considered whether you actually want to go to MK hospital when you're home? Many people from MK prefer to go to surrounding ones (generally Bedford) if they can.

I literally live 10mins away from MK hospital, so it seems like the easiest option! But I'm a bit worried about some of the stories I've heard by people who have been there! I think I may try to have a look around the hospital, and then make a decision, but I'm not sure if they do that or not?! :flower:

Hi there. I can't see it being a problem my freind just transferred her care at 38 weeks without any hassle after all you have your hand held notes with all your info in. Just let the midwife know, maybe speak to them a bit earlier to see if you need to do anything. Good luck
