My 2.5 year old had started swearing I'm sure she picks it up from oh family as they swear all the time!
She said f In hell 4 times in last two days when she dropped something so it in right context too
I don't know whether to ignore it, tell her no we don't say naughty words or what to do?!

My 5 yr old drops afew swear words and has done since he was about 3, mainly off his naughty ganma.
I wouldn't punish, but just say that's a naughty word My mums told zane only ganmas can say these bad words :/
My son knows he's not allowed to say certain words, and now he's 5 he does get punished if he swears

Yes I think I'm going to have to go down route of correcting her

I think with something like this you can't ignore, she won't know it's wrong.
So yeah at this age I would definitely correct her.

I'd say its an adult word rather than a naughty word. Naughty is just so tempting sometimes to children.

Oh dear I think you need to have a word with the family because she's going to end up in troubled when she's at school through no fault of her own x

If ds1 says something I don't want him to say I definitely correct him and ask him not to use that word. Fortunately so far it hasn't been swearing but things like calling his little brother an idiot.
I think I'd also be speaking to whoever is swearing and ask them to try not to if they are around your LO.

Is your lo likely to react to a reaction? If so, personally if ignore and monitor my own / OH's language unless this becomes a word that it used over the course of more than a few days. At the weekend my 22mth old dropped a potato while he was eating and said 'oh shit'. We didnt respond and so far he hasn't said it since.
