Sweep?

So im due today and had a sweep yesterday. Well the midwife said i was nearly 2cm dilated. Well i am wondering if anyone knows how long i could have and if anyone has any idea how long it takes to dilate? Xx

With my first, I had her within 24 hours of my sweep. I was about 3cm dilated when they did the sweep.

With my second, I had her 3 days later. I was about 2cm dilated when they did the sweep.

The amount of time it takes to dilate depends on the frequency, intensity, and effectiveness of your contractions, so it is really a guessing game!
