Hello Ladies!

I'm a lover of Indian cuisine and as some of you may know, it can be VERY spicy. I am having Indian for lunch today and ordered a Sweet Lassie, which is a yogurt based drink blended with sugar and some indian spices. I know we can have yogurt but I didn't think to ask if their yogurt at the restaurant was pasteurized or not. It wasn't ice cold but when I got to work I poured it over ice to chill it, which I think makes it taste better.

I should admit I have been sipping it, but then I started to wonder if this could be dangerous. Any thoughts?

Its very likely pasteurised yoghurt so i wouldnt worry too much - indian cuisine uses pretty bog standard yoghurt, nothing specially made. If you're still concerned, ring the restaurant and double check.

Most likely it is fully pasteurized, (they always use everything fully pasteurized) mixed with water and few herbs and stuff to make it taste nice :) Don't worry im sure its safe but like bumpbear said ring and ask if you're not sure :)
