I just want some feedback if poss from other mums as i am not sure what to do.

LO has a cold and a bit of a cough, nothing extreme he doesn't have a temperature and is otherwise very happy and chatty (well baby talk lol)

We have swimming lessons today at 12 at a private pool which is a lot warmer than public pools its around 32/33degrees.

Would you take your LO swimming?

I am worried about missing another week as they had to close the pool last week. I am not concerned about him getting cold because i don't think he will as he has swim nappy to wear and then a wrap to keep him warm, plus its like a rainforest in there anyways.

Still i am unsure whether or not to take him. If you would/wouldn't take you LO could you explain why?

Thanks in advance :flower:

yes I would take LO if he is otherwise well. I take LO to swimming lessons with colds.

Thats my thought at the moment plus we are entering cold season and my DD almost always has a permanent cold every winter.

exactly. Its not going to get any worse by going swimming so unless LO is unwell in himself theres no harm in it. He'll soon let you know when he has had enough!

ooo im in the exact same situation!

LO has a horrible cold, hes all bunged up and sad, off his food, barely sleeping cus he cant breathe properly and i had swimming lessons at 11 today. ive decided not to go as the pool isnt that warm and neithers the changing room when you get out. my LO swallows a lot of water still and as he cant breathe through his nose atm id feel really mean with him trying to struggle for air :haha: thats just me though

Nope, out of consideration for other kids/parents and possibly getting their kids sick.

My DD has had a terrible year with breathing and sinus infections and it always really gets my goat when people bring their kids to events with snots/colds as a short cold for those kids = a 3 week ordeal of nebulizers and inhalers for mine.

I have missed Maia's swimming lesson today but she is pretty sick with a cough and cold. Its stopping her from sleeping and she's off her food. The pool is pretty cold too.

If she just had the sniffles but wasn't unwell I would have still gone x
