morning Girls!!!

I hope your all well!!!

I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing swollen legs and fingers? Funny - I dont have swollen ankles or feet but I can tell my legs are swollen!! They feel so tight all the time.

As for my fingers well they are sausages yet but my rings are getting tight!!

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to releive the feeling?

I have currently got a box under my desk to keep my legs raised..... will I have this till our LO is born? X

I have carpal tunnel syndrome affecting my hands, my fingers swell up and go numb, the pain is horrible at night! I have some splints i need to wear at night which do help.

When i saw the physio and mw about the swelling though they both said it'll go after baby's born but if you breastfeed it may take longer to go.

I've got swollen fingers, hands, ankles and legs. I had to have my wedding ring cut off at the jewellers last week as my ring was getting so tight it was starting to give me pins and needles. Word of advice... take all your jewellery off now!!!! Put your feet up whenever you get the chance and drink lots of water - apparently it helps reduce swelling.

I will give that a try!! I have been thinking of taking my rings off... but I only got married in December so I really dont want to

Is it normal to be getting this swelling? x

Yesterday i felt really tight fingers and had to take my wedding ring off.

They had left a indentation on my fingers so i think i will leave them off now.

My knuckles felt really uncomfortable too.

Ankles are a bit swollen but its not major....

Ive got really swollen hands and hey feel tight and almost burn if that makes sense? Been looking at the baby center website and this is what they say about it:

What you're experiencing is edema — that's when excess fluid collects in your tissue. It's normal to have a certain amount of swelling during pregnancy because you're retaining more water. Changes in your blood chemistry also cause some fluid to shift into your tissue.
Edema is most often an issue during the third trimester, particularly at the end of the day. It may be worse during the summer.

"You can help relieve the increased pressure on your veins by lying on your side. Since the vena cava is on the right side of your body, left-sided rest works best"

"After you have your baby, the swelling will disappear fairly rapidly as your body eliminates the excess fluid. You may find yourself urinating frequently and sweating a lot in the first days after childbirth"

here is the link if you want to read more.. it tells you ways or relieving it:
