Swollen eyelid

For the past two mornings my LO has woken up with her left eyelid slightly swollen. It doesn't look awful, there isn't anything weird on the eyelid and the eye itself isn't red or crusty but it does seem to be bothering her a bit because she's rubbing at it. Yesterday when it happened I was going to make her a pediatrician appointment but by the time their office opened at 9am the swelling had disappeared and everything was back to normal.

Any idea what this could be? Conjunctivitis? Allergies? Is it worth taking her to the doctor even though the symptom probably will be gone by the time we get there? She has her 9-month check up next Friday so I can bring it up then but I'm not sure if I should be taking her in sooner...

Are stys usually visible? I don't see any bumps...

Definitely! I got quite a few when I was in my teens and my eyelid would look swollen for a bit and it was kind of itchy before it got better.

That's a good idea. I think if it's still happening next week that's what I'll do.
