I can't complain as I have had a lovely pregnancy so far, and it it love now I get to feel bean kicking away, but by the end of the day my feet and ankles are huge! we were at a wedding ystdy and by the end of it they were so swollen and sore! the same at work, I'm a doctor currently doing elderly medicine and am on my feet all day which I can't avoid, but then my feet and ankles swell up so much, and I must admit I find it a bit embarrassing as I'm a bigger girl anyway I don't want people just thinking I have really fat ankles haha! I drink plenty of water and put my feet up as soon as I get home but it's still happening and I know itwkill only get worse! anyone the same or have any advice? xx

I have the same problem or at least I did until I wore support stockings, but then I have trouble with varicose veins, I'm a 14 so a bit bigger too, I find when I wear the support stockings I get minimal swelling, also try to shift your weight from one foot to the other regularly too it really helps:) avoiding foods high in salt helps to lessen the water retention also. Gl hun xxxx

My sister is pregnant with major swollen feet at the moment, I thought mine were bad but hers have doubled in size!

She's a teacher so on her feet all day n there isn't much that helps except putting them up and getting oh to rub a foot cooling gel into them! x

My friend is 16 weeks and she suffers badly she even gets like shooting pains in her ankles, she had to go docs in the end because she couldnt get shoes on and he signed her off with gravitational odema, he suggested plenty of rest and elevation and ice packs she said it works temporarily so she had to do the ice packs weekly!

I saw this in a magazine just today and it made me laugh, however I bet they feel quite soothing lol :haha:
