Symptoms or body getting back to normal?

Hi all

This is my 1st post My husband and I are TTC.

I was hoping maybe i could get some info.

I had my implanon removed on Jan 22nd- I had it in for 12 years beforehand. The day it was taken out I began to bleed and I blead for a week, so I assumed it was a period.

So husband and I trying away- we have not been using any body temps or ovulation kits.

On Feb 14th I woke up to bad stomach cramps and nausea-I got a bit sick in the toilet, so I took a pregnancy test and it came back negitive. Then on Feb 17th I was nausious all day and my mouth kept filling up with saliva(i kept having to spit it out)

Then today 22nd Feb I have had a taste of blood in my mouth the last hour. Going by the last time I bled I am due my periods today (Not 100% sure how many days my cycle are as my periods on the implanon were very irregular)

Could anyone shed some ligt- would these be symptoms or my body getting used to being without the implanon.

Also forgot to add last week i have been constantly sleeping. I mean i would get up in the morning and 2 hours later i would fall asleep on the couch again, Always tired yawning constantly. At one stage i slept for 9 hours, woke up went to toilet , had a sandwich and fell back asleep for another 10 hours.

Thats never happened to me before.Its eased off now last 2 days though

It's hard to say. When I came off BCP I had all the signs of pregnancy, sore breasts, back ache, felt exhausted etc but it turned out to be my body adjusting to coming ff the pill. Some people do fall straight away after coming off conception. All you can do s test again in a few days and/or wait for AF to appear! Good luck

As of today(24th Feb) my period has still not arrived, have had no more symptoms though just a few cramps

my periods were well bad after having implant out in oct last year , still TTC . but this period which ive just had i started on the 12th and finished on the 16th , not bleed on 17th but then on the 18th at night i bled again but followed by brown discharge. and still na week on ive still got it, its like watery one min then thick the next, cramps , sore boobs. ive been told it could be my cycle getting back to normal but i think my period this time was normal as alot lighter than previous times, and less painfull. im still trying and hoping because had intercourse around what i think is my ovulation days im hopeing im pregnant or at least early stages

Honestly it could be either. I would hesitate to think you'd be pregnant after 12 years with BC. It certainly could happen, especially if you happened to have ovulated right away.

It can take up to a year for your body to re-regulate after coming off BC, especially LTBC, which is also something to consider

Also you wouldn't have had a positive Valentines Day as even if you had a regular 28 day cycle you would only be due to have a period now, before it would have been way too early.

I'd give things another week or two and try to take another test either now, or in a week or both. However it sounds like you may be readjusting after being off the implant
