taking DS to 12 week scan?

iv got my 12 week scan next thurs but i have no childcare - do you think they will mind me taking him? OH will be there but obviously wants to come in for the scan x

It'll depend on the hospital. At mine, they absolutely do not allow children in the scanning room and DH would be made to wait outside with LO. Maybe phone and find out? If they don't allow it, could you ask one of LO's friends' mums if they could have play date or something? Or even a friend to come along and stay with LO in the waiting room?

i had the same worries, and i even called the day before and got told, no. Strictly no preschool children allowed in (not sure how old your ds is).

Turns out my dd was asleep anyway so we got to bring hwr in.. But the sonographer said we could bring her in before she evem saw she was asleep.

I would bring him, and if worse comes to worse they may ask your OH to stand outside with him until they get measurements? If hes young like my dd, just take a snack and im sure it will be fine!

hes three! im sure my mum took my brother when she went for hers (at the same hospital) so hope its ok, surely they have to allow for people who have no childcare? soooo frustrating!!
