Hi Ladies,

My partner and I are trying to have a baby by donor sperm.

2 years ago i found out I have PCOS after checking why my cycles where so long.

I've had 2x cancelled cycles so for and I am currently on round 3x on cycle day 17.

Yesterday I went for an ultrasound, however my follicles are still at 11mm even though I have taken 50mg Clomid from cycle day 3 - 7.

Is anyone in a similar boat or has gone through a similar situation?

I have another scan tomorrow to see if there has been any movement. If no movement, the doc will probably end my cycle again.

Thanks all, let me know :)

I have pcos and had very long and inconsistent anovulatory cycles (on bc now so no periods). Changing my diet really helped, specifically going low GI. I'm insulin resistant as part of the pics and that can mess with your hormones. Low GI regulated my sugar levels, which regulated my hormones.

Plus I lost weight YAY.

Hi

Didn't want to read and run. I have just had IUI but on a natural cycle. I don't have pcos but I do have long cycles from 35 to 42 days. So I'm not sure if I'm any help.
I changed my diet, cut out alcohol, stopped smoking 4 years ago etc to get ready for treatment. It was so hard lol I changed my lifestyle and lost some weight. Who knows if its what helped but I felt like I was doing all I could.
Sending you lots of luck and hope it goes well for you. :flower: X

I have PCOS. I can't recommend diet changes enough. I started a low carb diet and got pregnant 2 months later with my first baby after 18 months TTC (naturally, with a penis-having partner). I conceived my other 4 (tried for 1, the rest surprises) during or directly after a Whole30. Whole30 is strict, but I cannot recommend it more. It is a life changer whether it makes you ovulate properly or not.
