Well i've already had one little one, now 6months old and with 2nd on the way, i've got to change my pushchair

only thing is I don't know which type to get, i like the tandem ones as they seem like the width or a normal pushchair, but don't like the idea that only one lil one can see infront of them the other can't,
This is where i like the twin pushchairs being side by side so both babies can have a look at the world going by, only thing is i'm worried i won't get through doors etc!

Any advice?

The doorway thing was my issue so chose an icandy peach blossom twin buggy, 2 seats on top of the other. My hubby hates that one won't be able to see from the back but we will switch them over, they won't be spending hours in the buggy anyway, and i just prefer them to be honest. A close friend had twins and got the iCandy. But now they are approaching 2 she is getting an Out N About Nipper 360. Apparently they can be used for babies from birth until 4 years (i think?) and they are one of the slimmest tandems around. Have a look anyway, and def try to go and see them in shops, i did so much looking on the net and made my final decisions when actually seeing the items xx

We had a tandem with our DD's and it was perfect for us, although we had a slight problem when they were older and the one in the back would pull the hair of the one in the front!!
However, doors, buses and shopping etc went really well as the width is the same as a single.

Good luck xxxx

I've just bought a twin on eBay as my son is two now so don't think I'll be using it for too long.

The reason I bought a twin (side by side) is that my older child would have HATED being in the back seat and if my new baby is like him in that regard, then it wouldn't have worked. Also, most of the tandems I have seen lack room for shopping bags etc.

Doorways shouldn't be too much of an issue (hopefully) as we tend to shop in a large shopping centre or in a town so not too many little doorways!

We're going for a side by side; Baby Jogger Mini Doube; I am not keen on the tandem's and H doesn't like the idea of baby not being able to see.

We don't use public transport so I was not worried about not getting on a bus with the buggy. If I can't get into the shops however, it just means I won't spend money I don't have lol.

never thought of it that way lol!

The town i live in all the shops are small as its a small town, so i'll struggle to get in anywhere but tesco, boots or superdrug!

i suppose i'll have a look over the coming weeks once i've had my final scan at st thomas's

There is a new tandem out called the baby jogger city select. Most stores don't have it yet but you can see pics through google. It has loads of possibilities for seats, including babies facing each other which I think is quite cute. #This is the one I am going for.

ok my friend says the tandems are heavy and side by side is best she has a 3 wheeler so its nice and light and it fits through most doorways too xx

im thinking of a tandem as ollie will be 20months when LO is born and i think the difference between them in weight will make a side by side difficult to puh also my mum bought maclaren side by side last year for when she had my son and my nephew for the day and at even that with them both being under one they looked like they wouldnt fit in it for too much longer x

i strtuggled with this too but just got a phil$teds double buggy 2nd hand and i love it-my DD hasn't stopped climbing in and out of it! the seats swap over so baby lies flat whilst chair and toddler sit at front kind of ontop of baby! then changes round once baby's bigger. as my DD's 2, i'm just gonna let her decide which seat she wants to sit in as they both have good view. i don't drive and live in a small town so a side by side wasn't gonna be practical and i was worried about the weight of a tandem although i trie one in mothercare that felt light and back seat was slightly raised so there was a good view.
good luck and don't forget to test drive! x

I desperately wanted a tandam but after test driving a few we've decided on the Out and About Nipper 360. It's really light to push (even with Daisy in one side!) and seems to fit fine through most doorways.

Definately test drive a few different ones to see what works best for you. x

I love our Phil & Ted's Sport with the twin set. It's a lot like that iCandy stroller but more spacious for the kids and takes up the same amount of space
