Tattoo advice...

I would love a tattoo for Calista, not her name, maybe her DOB, initials or star sign. I quite fancy having it on the back of my neck... Can anyone who has had this advise how much it hurts? I'm a bit of a wimp with pain!

didn't hurt one bit, but it did bleed A LOT.

im now looking to get it covered up as i hate it

I have the Assassin's Creed logo on the back of my neck, and it hurt like a bitch, but my OH's best friend has one, and didn't feel a thing. It's very varied, so you'll never know until you get it done I'm afraid hun xx

ETA: and as cherryglitter says, it DOES bleed a lot! I had blood in the back of my pants because it ran down my back so much when it was finished, even though I had the clingfilm on! and it's so fast at dripping down, it was horrible!

Hey hun I work in a tattoo shop and must say the wrist, back of neck and lower back do seem to be the most painful ones on the body. When I got my tat I just thought of giving birth and the pain just disappeared, if its your first tattoo it will take a while for you to get used to the feeling, for me it took around 10 mins then the pain eased and i just got used to it - most peoples pain is mind over matter, especially when they build it up to be really bad!.. If you go into it calmly (as hard as it sounds) you will have a much better outcome! xx

^^ I went in extremely calm though, as I got my wrist done a month or two before, and that didn't hurt one bit, and OH's best friend has a neck tattoo and said it didn't hurt at all, and as soon as the needle went in I was in agony , I was nearly biting the tattoo chair!

My advice is to sing a song in your head, and concentrate on the lyrics, I sing the alphabet in french in my head, which helps a bit xx

ETA: I suppose maybe mine was really painful as mine is more the top of my back, although it does verge onto my neck, but more of it is about shoulder height so you may have nothing to worry about hun xx

Ive had one on my neck (actually two had the 2nd to cover the first) and it stung a little but was nothing compared to labour lol. It honestly didnt hurt as much as my back iether. The outline stung more than the colour too
