Should i forget about the morning cup of tea?? I stopped drinking it when i found out i was pregnant, but now that its winter over here (australia) i'm really missing it. I'm sure in moderation its fine and i only want 1 cup per day.

What are your thoughts?? Is anybody still drinking Tea or Coffee??

Me, I'm having one cup per day. Recommendation is for no more than 200mg per day which is more that there is in a cup of tea I believe. Enjoy!

It's fine. It's recommended you have 200mg caffeine maximum per day. You'd have to check your brand but most cups of tea have about 50-75 mg per cup. So upto 3-4 is fine as long as you're not having any other caffeine. I have 2 or 3 cups of tea most days, couldn't live without it :)

I still have one Tim Hortons tea a day, occasionally I have two but not very often, generally when I'm driving long distances.

you can have a cup per day or go for decaffeinated tea.
My Dr told me it's more precaution. it was never proven that a cup of tea can harm a pregnancy.

If you find Rooibos (red tea). Has no caffeine. It's imported from south Africa and tastes really nice. I think either Safeway or Coles sells it.

I still have one or two cups of tea a day. I did switch to decaff but then I heard that the chemicals they use to take out the caffeine could be much more harmful than the caffeine itself. (not sure if that's true, just something I heard) I think anything in moderation is fine though.

Yep I have carried on with a normal tea or coffee and then I switch to decaf later in the day (unless I am at some ones house or eating out), some days I am sure I have had more than the recommended amount of caffeine - it's just precautionary and I am sure that it's only excess caffeine every single day that would cause a problem.

Decaf tea all the way. The few times I've had a cup of caffeinated tea recently (when out of at friends etc) I've gone dizzy afterwards, so I carry teabags around with me now.
