Team April 21st

Hello ladies. There seem to be a bunch of us so I wanted to say :wave:

Last pregnancy I was due Dec 9th (2008) and there were loads of us then too so we made our own team, we must all share common period cycles or something! Thought it might be nice to meet one another.

I'm expecting a girl. This is my second child; my little boy Byron is 2. I'm planning a homebirth and am very angry about how my last birth went (when I also planned a homebirth but got far from it) so you might notice hints to that in my posts! I'm praying my waters will stay intact this time and I really don't want to go early. Anytime from my due date is fine. It'll also be better if I have a Taurus. I still suffer from sickness but it is more just morning and sometimes evening sickness now instead of the constant nausea I had for the first two tris and right through my last pregnancy. I ahve also split tummy muscles and wear a fetching tubigriup. I am finishing for mat leave on March 12th.

Im on team April 21st also, i think theres a few of us with this date on here.

this is my 1st, so at the moment ignorance is bliss,im facing the unknown as it were. but im thinking id like a water birth and if that fails an epidural on dry land!. All i do know is that i dont want to be one of these going 2 weeks over due. i do have a very low lying baby though(&feels like it too), so maybe he'll be on time or at least not much later!

i think theres about 8 of us atleast! its madness lol

expecting my first baby a little boy,
my bump is massive and i have no use of my lungs anymore lol,
my backs given up on life, as have my ribs. goddam being a short arse! poor babys all squashed
we have no baby names decided, i love bailey but OH doesnt. i liked Riley but OH doesnt, i could go on lol
were looking for our first home an there is literally nothing in the place we want to move to! so 12 weeks to go and no house lol
bought almost everything now but have no clothes or nappies, or a bouncer, they all seem really tacky


so when are we all starting maternity leave?

I want all the drugs i can get lol and i cant wait as i am huge! This is my 2nd little boy and im looking forward to another little boy so is my son and OH! My BOYS lol

Hello Girlssss Add me to the April 21st Team ! hahaahah !
It's mad how many of us there are... I always think that when I scroll through due date lists too !

I am currently on the end of sick pay after my Dr wrote me a note to last until my last shift in work was due, Ive been on antibiotics for Labrynthitis (inner ear infection) which was causing me SCARY dizziness and vertigo for a week !

I have booked my annual holidays from the 3rd Feb - 19th Feb and then start my ML on the 20th Feb, but I'm done now 'cause of the drs note ! Whoopeeee :]

I am suffering with thrush because of the antibiotics which is horrible, im soooo itchy and my VJ is very swollen :/ sorry for TMI ! Hahaa

I also have Coccydynia but I don't think I've noticed it so much the last week, maybe thats cause i was distracted with the pulsing in my head, dizziness etc !

Other than that my bump is coming on well and I have booked my antenatal classes to start 15th Feb. I got payed my HIP grant today so I guess that finally answers the whole "when is the cut off date" debate !

ah great to see some more of us!!, strange how theres so many for the 21st!

Nicole, i wanted Bailey all along. Dh cames up with some daft names, in the end at our 20 wk scan when we found out it was a boy he gave in and said "well i havent come up with anything better"!!.

Not sure when my antenatal classes are, but we have a hospital tour on sunday 6th feb.

Oh, i think ive found my 1st two(small) stretch marks, on my side, above my hips!!!

I have stretch marks now. Bit disappointing. Last pregnancy I broke overnight at about 35 weeks, half the bump (belly button down) just tore and it was very very sore. I was hoping then I might get away with this time as I've already been so stretched but no. I've just a couple of little ones that could arguably be the top of old ones, this time above my belly button. My stomach is monstrous anyway so it doesn't matter to me what it looks like just that I was so sore!

Woohoo our own team!

I'm expecting a girl and we have named her Abigail (no-one else knows what we have chosen though!)

I've started struggling recently with back ache, I can't sit still for too long and I get uncomfortable quickly I've not really had any other problems though so I shouldn't really complain, but I can imagine my back will get worse over the next 12 weeks (yes ladies only 12 weeks to go!!)

I'm measuring early and it coincides with my original date of 11 April before they put me back at 12 wk scan to 21st so I'm hoping that she might make an early appearance, but knowing my luck she'll go into May

Peanut, your like me, i hated my stomach before, so i suppose a few stretchmarks arent going to make things much worse!!

My last day at work is the 25th Feb.. I'm leaving quite early compared to most people but my god I can't wait! Still waiting for my HIP grant to be paid in When did you send yours off?

Hello all!!

I need to take my 5 weeks holiday entitlement before my mat leave so I will be finishing up on the 27th feb - 5 weeks hols and 2 weeks mat leave before due date.

Back is starting to play up a bit now and getting comfy in bed is just a nightmare!!!

Cant believe it is only 12 weeks till due date - so close now.
After last weeks one born every minute I am really starting to consider a water birth - anyone else?

I'd love a water birth but because I'm overweight, I'm not allowed. I am vowing that next time I will have lost enough to not be classed high-risk!

I was with my sister when she gave birth to her 2nd child as a water birth, it was an amazing experience (and she didnt bleed in the pool so no funny-coloured water!) xxx

The bleeding in the pool is the only part that puts me off a little and makes OH feel ill!! lol !!

I'm planning a home water birth. I laboured in the pool a while last time.

I feel very sick this morning after being kept awake much of the night by my boy. Not impressed. Got to drive to Newcastle this afternoon and back again late at night so in danger of falling asleep at the wheel plus I'm too sick to go to Aquanatal this morning.

I have a one track mind too! I can't think about anything else. Work have taken most of my job off me and given to someone else so I hardly have anything to do, which makes it draaaag!!! What job do you do? xx

I wanted a water birth before I watched that episode as the amount of people that have said it's so relaxing and I am a bit of a water baby (love swimming!)

My HIP grant took about 2 weeks from sending to going into my account and about 1 hour from then to being spent...! I'm waiting for my neighbour to bring a parcel round with some of the baby stuff I ordered with the grant.

I'm a student and fell out with my part time job when I told them I was pregnant so I don't work anymore either, luckily I get 3 days in the week to spend at home anyway so not breaking up from uni until 8 April but if it gets too difficult to drive, I might have to see if I can leave earlier.

I've LOADS on at work, it's exhausting. Wish I could finish now but no such luck.

I had my 28 week appointment yesterday. Good luck with yours! Mine was all good. Lots to talk about for my birth plan. My MW is excellent.

I work with arnold clark in car sales - used to do a 65 hour week but that has been reduced to a 48 hour week (with about 2 hours travelling on top of that!!)

I am a specialist - I deal with a brand called Abarth - part of the fiat group. Because of that I am never overly busy as it is a small niche market but currently trying to also train people for the glasgow and edinburgh branch for me leaving!!

What do you guys do?

Thinking of a water birth as at the mo having a bath really helps my back pain so thinking it will have a similar effect during labour.
