How do you cope BF while they are teething my LO is quite young and he has 3 sharp teeth coming in 1 on the bottom and 2 at the top. When he feeds he just bites. Don't know how much I can last with this going on. :hissy:

When is he biting hun? I know, oh how I know, it is really hard to deal with. My son has been a biter as well.
For a time he would bite me when he latched on, so I would put my finger out for him to 'latch' onto first, he would bite that, then I would latch him on. He soon stopped.

When he was biting at the end of a feed, I would just pull him into me. This cuts off their ability to breath through the nose, so they instincitivly open their mouth to breath. I would then immediatly set him down, even if he was not finished eating. He soon learned that teeth = no booby.

Hang in love, he won't bite forever. I know it hurts, but you can get through it.

:hugs: have you tried putting a bit of teething gel on 10 minutes or so before you feed?

Hebe has only done this a couple of times - the last time being this last feed! She grates rather than bites  I do the same as Samantha - the need to breath os stronger than the need to bite!!

Yea when Tabs did this i just put her down when she did it, she learned quick and didnt do it after the first day of her new teeth :)
