Teething

Posted this in baby club before realising my son isn't a baby anymore!!
Wondered if anyone here could advise.

Been through 8 teeth sprouting through my son's gums so far, but it would appear the molars are en route now too.

One thing I have noticed, is that his top right gum is really quite swollen (as are his others but this is the worst one) and I am starting to worry it's getting infected or something??

It doesn't seem to be bothering him any more than normal, and he spends most of the time with his fist in his mouth anyway. Just wondered if anyone else's babies got such swollen gums before the teeth popped through? He'll let me touch it to put teething ointment on so it can't be too distressing for him....just wondered.

Megans gums got huge w/ her molars - they were less swollen as they started popping through & went back to normal. They werent all the same size though - one side would be the worst then another, etc.

Thank you. Just wanted some reassurance i wasn't the only one I guess. He seems fine in himself so hopefully that's all it was!x
