Telephone Survery calls

rewind 2 weeks ago and i answered the phone to a survey person. My LO was making a racket so i didnt hear the first part of what the person was saying i just heard him say 'for example Sony Samsung...'

I said to him I dont know (I was preoccupied trying to released my LOs grip of the cats tail!

He didnt say anything else just hung up on me! Rude!

So he calls back a couple of hours later and i answer the phone.

Ok so i do sound quite young on the phone but that didnt stop him from trying to do the survey with me a couple of hours back. He said 'Put me onto the hone runner'! Barely in mind i pretty much run this house myself! im not living Under MIL or anything so i handed the phone to my MIL to let her deal with him.

She did the survey and that was it.

1 week later he rings again - again demanded to speak with the home runner - even though that i pretty much run the house myself! i just handed the phone over to MIL and she told him she did the exact same survey the last week but he wouldnt have it so she kindly did it again

Yesterday he rings AGAIN MIL answers this time and im in the same room. MIL tells him that shes completed the survey 2 times now and she was not prepared to take it again. He then carried to to start asking the questions. At this point MIL is getting annoyed and told him it was none of his business what brand her TV was She then asked him to take our number off from that records as she didnt want them ringing again. He asked why and MIL explained she did the same survey 2 times already and that he was trying to false her to do it again. His responce?? But Why? MIL tells him she just told him why and he then tried to read out the questions again.

MIL ended up hanging up on him.

But OMG how rude??

Those kind of calls and sales call I just tell them, "i'm not interested, please remove me for the call list" and hang up.

I always tell them that I am busy at the moment but if they leave me their home number, I can ring them later and we can chat about it then.
They tend to get the hint.

i always tell them i am not interested now nor will i ever be and that i would like my number removed
and if it continues ask to speak to a line manager or supervisor to report them for harassment that usually does the trick

My mum has taught me the best way to deal with these calls.

She asks the caller "what is your favourite colour?" and insists they answer before she continues...when they answer she replies "wrong colour" and puts the phone down

I think that she wastes so much of their time that she rarely gets them now Try it, it is actually hilarious when they start thinking about it and answer

omg i remember hanging up on someone once cos i had no idea wtf he was talking about and he rang right back and started giving me abuse down the phone 'why did you hang up thats very rude'

Ohh I hate these type of calls! We've been getting a few recently saying something about a broken computer... So today I told then to stick their computer up their arse

i got some of them calls, there trying to access your computer by saying they can fix it from there end, my OH just said we didnt have the internet and they havent rang since Xx

When I'#m walking down the street and the electric or gas people come up to me I say i'm only 15 & live at home with my mum haha ! I'm 27 & always have lo with me x

I had a lot of hassle with telemarketers phoning all the time, being really rude and not taking no for an answer. My mate told me to join this and no one can call you unless you authorise it . It's brilliant. I only had one phonecall and after telling them i was registered on the TPS service she hung up on me !!.

Hate sales and survey calls. I know it's them because usually there's a pause when you answer the phone. So I just hang up straight away. My nan is hilarious though, she'll just straight up tell them to "piss off!".
