Im starting to think about christmas time, as we will have to save money to get Abigail christmas stuff....im not going crazy but would like her to have a santa stocking with some new toys in it on xmas day....just so we have memories of santa coming on her 'first xmas' even if its just photos to have as memories as she wont remember :dohh:

she will be 10 months old by xmas. So I want to get her a few toys that will help her learn/play...

Whats your 10 month/ 1year old's favourite toy?!

Mummys hairbrush!!? Musical drum, leap frog activity table, the changing bag (love unpacking it!?) anything that shakes and makes a noise like shakey eggs or bottles with pasta in them!!

Empty diaper box :haha:

My LO loves toy cars. Large or small. Anything that plays music or makes a noise. He also love his Bounce and spin zebra.

Cars & balls. He loves moving them around when he's in his walker. He loves all activity cubes, he already have 3 one plastic & 2 wooden. He also loves large rattles, he holds one in each hand & goes on. His formula tin & wooden spoons, stacking cups & rings, v-tech walker, xylophone (too noisy but one of his fav), a car he goes in & moves around the house. He akso loves my laptop, mobile & the remote control.

Remote control, mobile phone, xbox controllers, baby monitor etc etc anything he shouldnt have!!!! :happydance:

He also likes his baby walker, rattles and loves playing with a ball. TBH i would say dont be spending money on big fancy toys, the cheap things seem to entertain them for much longer! Lots of little things are probably better than one or two expensive toys as they get bored of things so quickly!

Old christmas tree bauble, empty cherry tomato pot, string, old cd's, old credit cards, wires (either plugged or un-plugged!) mobile phone (she's killed mine!) daddys lap top (she loves making it ping!)

Of "proper" toys it's this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tomy-Splashy-Penguin-Bath-Toy/dp/B0007D7O18
But not in the bath as the volume isn't loud enough to hear. She loves it dry!
Leap frog musical table.

Favourite tv programme - Timmy Time. She would watch all day if I let her!

Completley agree.

Also there are so many toys out there that look fantastic but actually are really crap for the age group they are aimed at.

I find Vtech toys look pretty but really difficult for my daughter to hold and do what they are designed to do.

Others are just 1 trick wonders that Abbie looks at and kind of goes " yeah and?? Is that suppose to impress me?!!!"

The one thing that Brady always plays with is the leapfrog activity table and his vtech walker. he loves his stacking cups and his new favourite thing is to put the smaller cups in the big ones.

This year will be Bradys second Xmas and Im not going to be spending much money on toys, he still won't know what Xmas is and I'd rather get things like books or clothes etc that he will need/make use of later on
