Hi ladies,
I'm a night shift RN- I work three night shifts a week and try to keep a reasonably "normal" schedule otherwise because I have a 6 year old as well. Any advice about temping or will my chart be all jacked up?

Hi I'm a rvn and I work night shifts 7 out of 28 with nine day shifts so I never tried temping as I thought it would be too unreliable as iv seen people say that very little things can influence your temp and confuse your chart but I found the digital ovulation sticks worked great for me.
Hope someone can give you a better idea about temping

Hi Hun! I'm also an RN working nights, I was told you could temp when you wake as long as you had 3 hrs sleep. But I rarely get 3hrs sleep so I have up! Lol, this week I have done 5 nights, I should have ovulated somewhen around now but don't feel as though I have yet, I normally get ov pain but I haven't and have had little cm :( hope it hasn't affected my cycle :( xxx

I've had to flip back and forth between day and night shifts. Temp after 3-4 hours of sleep. That's about as accurate as you'll be able to get. I would do OPKs just in case but your chart *should* work.

Thanks ladies! I kinda figured it would just have to be as good as I could make it, even though some days probably won't be as accurate as they would if I worked different hours. I guess I'll just temp in the afternoon on the days that I have to work :)
As it stands right now, I got a pretty darn positive looking OPK so I'm hoping it won't be an issue soon either way!
