Temping when pregnant?

Hi guys,

I'm about 18dpo and found out 5 days ago that I'm pregnant. I've continued to temp, mainly because it is reassuring to see the continued high temperatures. I'm not seeing a doctor for another month (my ob/gyn waits to do the pregnancy confirmation until about 8 weeks), so temping is just a way to feel like things are going okay.

But I'm wondering if there is any reason to temp during the early part of your pregnancy? Would a temp nose dive signify anything?

I did too with #2 for awhile. No a nose dive temp here and there isn't gonna mean much at this point. My dr told me that if there is any severe cramping or bleeding that would need to be investigated further, but other than that, try not to worry.

I temped up until like 6 weeks and my temps never were that high. I would totally freak myself out because they would come down for a couple days, but I guess it is normal. Mine never dropped below coverline while pg, but there were down in the lower post O range many times!
