I just got a email from tescos about a first aid course they are running alongside red cross designed for babies and toddlers

They are doing them in various different towns and are free and is always a good thing to learn so I thought id share this with you.
All detailes are on here for booking your place

Why on earth is Inverness the only one in Scotland?! Inverness?! I mean, why not at least have one in Glasgow or Edinburgh as well?

Thanks for the link, I just find their town choices... odd

Thanks for the link smokey. I would like to go to one of these, especially if its free :winkwink: but like Eala says its a shame the only one in Scotland is in Inverness.

Might email them to complain...I've been meaning to anyway because twice I've signed up for the tesco baby club and got nothing. Doesn't seem right to me?

Thats a great idea but theres not even one place in Wales that they're doing it!! The nearest place on that list to me is Liverpool and thats a good 4 hours too.
xx

I agree the areas are silly, closest one to us is New malden and thats miles away, there doesnt seem to be anything kent, cornwal, wales way

Thankyou! That's great. It has occurred to me since having Poppy that my basic first aid knowledge isnt up to scratch, and I will definitly be enquiring about the one near me :hugs:

Nothing in Berkshire either!

But thank you Smokey. I'm sure a lot of people will find the info very useful

Pity we won't be in London in October, I would definitely go. Thanks!

Thanks Smokey. Iv got a place at the one in York which is only about 20 mins away from me. Iv wanted to do one for a while.xx

oo0o New malden is my local decent sized tescos thanks for the link defo look into it for me and DH

What strange choices of location! I'm in the North East and the closest one is about two hours away!
Thanks for the link though, Smokey. It's spurred me on to book a place on a Red Cross course in Oct. £40 but definitely worth it.

For those that dont have one near them red cross and st johns do a course for about £40, it may seem like alot but if god forbid ever needed its somthing you cant put a price on.
My mums a nurse so first aid was somthing she was always very strict on us learning and my training has come in handy on three occasions over the years with one friend and two strangers in the street so it is deffinatly something worth learning.
Baby groups, HV, dr's surgery and sure start should all have info on classes nearest to you.

Thanks smokey! I'm Kent but I suppose Orpington would be the nearest to me, about an hour away. I might see if my sister wants to go as she is due in 5 weeks. I don't think I would have a clue if put in a situation, I think I would panic and any common sense would fly out the window.
