Testing baby after miscarriage

I recently had a mmc, baby's heart stopped at 11 weeks.
I suppose I just really need answers even though I know it's unlikely that I will ever find out why.
The first nurse said they send samples off after DnC and can test for any reasons as to why.
The second nurse said they only test for molar tissue.
I'm wondering if our baby had a chromosome problem that caused the miscarriage, would we find out, is this something they test for, does anybody know? Thanks xx

I'd get a second opinion. They can even test leftover tissue from the pregnancy after a D&C for chromosomal abnormalities, clotting problems, etc. I'd demand the testing and if they won't do it, take the tissue to another OGBYN who will do it. They vary widely in what their policies are.
