text, mms and sms!

What is the difference between text,mms and sms? When do you use each one? Yes I know I am a fogey for not knowing

A sms (short messaging service) is a standard text message, eg just words, while a mms (multimedia messaging sevice) is a picture message x

sms and text are the same its just regular text. MMS is a picture or media text. I use SMS all the time haha.
