Thank you so much for being here! We've been TTC for almost 2 years and it's been tough. Family and friends keep asking when we're having kids. I never realized what an incredibly rude question that is until I was in this position myself.
My "name" is Koritsi, which means girl in Greek. I wanted my username to be "korítsi sti mamá" (girl to Mommy) but it wouldn't fit. It's pretty hard to find a username that hasn't already been used here!
Anywho, I am 38 and my husband is 39. As I said, we have been TTC for almost 2 years. My OB/GYN suggested seeing a fertility specialist after 6 months of no success but I kinda dragged my feet. When we finally consulted with Dr. Brown (our fertility specialist) he suggested a laparoscopy to see if I have endometriosis and sure enough, I have Stage 4 Endo. They excised what was in there but it grows back quickly so we decided not to waste any more time. So we just did our first IUI this last Friday and we have to test on 4/5 to see if we're pregnant. Here's hoping we are.
I'm really grateful to have found a community for support and to offer my support, as well. I prefer not to share so many details with my family because, although they are well-meaning, I can't deal with the constant requests for status updates. So thanks for being here!
