My babygirl finally arrived on the 2nd of june at 5:26am, 40+2 weighing 7 pound 4! Here's our story..
On my due date I had a lot of braxton hicks aaaall day. They were painless but quite tight. I didn't think anything of them but I woke at 6.30am the morning after with period cramps coming every 10 mins, so I called mum and she came over. We sat and chatted for a while timing contractions and they were really irregular. They stopped and started all day and at 11pm I got fed up and got ready to go to bed. As I was getting ready I noticed them coming back a fair bit stronger so decided to stay up and time them for abit. They started coming every 3 mins about 1am so went hospital. Was 4cms. Had gas and air and was put in a room. The contractions got really intense very quickly so asked for pethadine. By 5:15am I was fully dilated, but her heartbeat started dropping. I was rolled onto my right and told to start pushing. I pushed for ten minutes and she was born! She was born with the cord wrapped round her neck and under her arm and poo'd on the way out but she was fine. We got discharged at 11am the same morning and I can honestly say it was a excellent experience and I will treasure it forever xxx
