ah, I see how it is! No, jk. :haha: I have basically lost all hope at this point. Thus the need to take a break! But, dh and I figured we should give it one last great chance. I am going to be pulling out all the stops, so I guess we will see...

heeeeeeeeeeey Jenn! welcome!!! Hopefully you wont need to take a break and catch that little eggy, but you're more than welcome to stick around either way - we let DJ sit here with her stinking preggo hormones - I'm sure we'd do the same for you! lol

Morning girlies! I had a lie in this morning and I am in a raaaaaaather cheery mood (maybe its the 3 day weekend?) so... expect lots of messy happy rambling from me.

I think I'm expecting AF today or tomorrow, and have my counselling session today at 5.30... good times!

so, so far Mags and I have had the jenny renny reading thing, and Pink you said you've ordered yours... if anyone else gets them, I could add them to the first post to keep a track if we like...

does anyone have any birthdays/celebrations/special dates for the first post?

Hi Jenn, I, too, hope you get your way this month :flower: I just wish I could get mine too!

Bit annoyed... have had a reply back from a job I applied to. It was for an "experienced conveyancer" and they were looking for candidates with 1 - 10 years experience. I have been working as a volunteer in the property department of a rather large charity for 10 months (a year by the time the job would start) doing, you guessed it, conveyancing. I have also got a distinction in property law and practice (i.e. conveyancing) from my LPC, which is at post-grad level. But they have said I do not have enough experience and will have to go for a trainee position instead... I find it quite pedantic to be perfectly honest. And am so naffed off that I am hitting brick walls for 2 different reasons that are essentially just different ends of the same scale - not enough experience at one end, and over-qualified at the other.

I have asked the consultant to put me forward for the trainee position, as it will be better than nothing, but am worried that the employer will come back and say I am over-qualified! I just can't win :growlmad: And as for those that are worried that my "over-qualified-ness" means I will leave, how exactly do I tell them that this is not the case...? It would have to go something like, "Oh, I won't be leaving, don't you worry, because I need this job for at least the next 2 years so I can get pregnant in October." Although I know full well they cannot not employ because I may go and get pregnant, I can't see that going down too well as an explanation lol!

Another gripe with the trainee position - "salary negotiable" WTF does that mean in English??

How are you all today then? Sorry for yet another rant :haha:

Love you too stinky preggo woman! lol

LV - hmmm... salary negotiable means "we'll pay you as little as we can get away with, and blame it on your lack of experience" tosspots!

as for making it clear say something along the lines of "i'm really excited at working at X company, i think it has amazing long term prospects, and I'm eager to progress in your company!" sounds arse kissy I know, but hey ho

I can arse kiss, that shouldn't be a problem. The recruiter just emailed me to say that it is £12.5-14.5K. I cannot believe that after 4 years at uni I may have to take a job that pays less than what my OH earns, when he barely even got through high school! If I can get it pushed to the higher end of the scale, I'll be OK, but at the lower end, I won't afford the repayments on my grad loan! Also, OH said I needed to be on 16k to make babies, but it would go up to that on qualification apparently.

Other dates - July 7th - Leah finishes her shitty time wasting course!!

thats the thing really isnt it - I didnt go to college, let alone uni and I'm doing alright wage wise, but theres a glass ceiling, where as you start low, and you will eventually get higher up...I might get stuck here - if that made any sense!

I'll put your course data down as a party for us all!

 I'm in a proper wacko mood today  must be the hormones!! One of our secretaries just asked if I'm pregnant so I just smiled lol. She reckons she can tell by my nose being pinched in at the top?! Crazy!

Aww Leah how frustrating!! I can imagine how annoyed you are after going through 4 years of uni. Do you ever wish you did the bvc? If you go for that job I would defo push for the higher end of the salary scale with all your experience!!! xxx
