The Lovely Looney Great Pretenders

Hey girlies... adding them to 1st post is a good idea mush!!

I got belly ache today and my boss randomly told me I will be pregnant in 2 weeks!! Lol.

His wife had the exact same op (lap with dye test) last year and was pregnant 2 weeks later... shes due next month!

I can dream! Hope we are all good.

I've worked my way up to this wage... this time 2 years ago I was on 10k a year... now I am on 16k with bonus, not bad eh?!

xxx

 I'm in a proper wacko mood today  must be the hormones!! One of our secretaries just asked if I'm pregnant so I just smiled lol. She reckons she can tell by my nose being pinched in at the top?! Crazy!

hahaha I love it! bless her :flower:

Leah if you don't get anything (which I'm positive you will) you should apply for my gradscheme and i will tell you all the interview questions  and the stuff they do at the 24 hour assessment centre :D

I thought it was awesome too!

thats the thing about where I work, the wages are good, so you can never afford to leave! grrrrr

Lol. Do you not enjoy your job? Just keep getting promoted!

What's the waiting list like? :haha: I don't think I would have been in any better a position had I done the BVC instead, as barristers are self-employed, so not only would I have had to find a chambers that would take me, I would also have to create my own client base to be able to make the money, which would have been just as tough going, if not more so. Also, personally I think barristers are a dying breed, due to solicitors gaining increasing rights of audience, and now having to be assessed in advocacy during the LPC. All suggests to me that the barrister profession will be limited to QCs over the next decade or so.

Sorry to bore you with all that! x x

I do, I do,... i think! lol

Im at the awkward stage between "elite team member/Future leader" and "actaul manager" so hard to make that jump but hopefully the programme I'm on will fix it soon! whooop

I'm quite proud of how I've progressed... next step please! haha

Look on the bright side....you all have jobs/qualifications.

You could be like me and have only a handful of GCSE's with no work for the last 4 1/2 years rendering you totally unemployable.
I have applied for no less than 50 jobs in the last month and have heard NOTHING back from any of them.

Argh ley - you must be going nutty! atleast you have your two gorgeous girls to show for it! :)

well I checked my emails after posting that and had an email from an employment agency who want workers for the place I worked when I met Bob. She had a couple of questions about my CV so I have replied back and am waiting on a response from her.

Fingers crossed for you Ley :) you have got the best job in the world being mummy to your two gorgeous girls :) xx

One of the lads that has moved dealerships has just been in and told me ive lost loads of weight. Feeling good about myself!!

Everyone has just been the chippy and all I had is a pot of peas! Haha.

Whoop go me.

xxx

Fingers crossed Ley :flower:

I've just applied to ten more jobs... got a bit carried away, as I'm really not happy about potentially taking home only 12k a year when I forked out 4 times as much to get my degree and LPC! Takes the micky, and I shall whinge about it in my head constantly if I have to take that wage, I just know it. So going to keep trying even if I do get the trainee job - it can be my back-up. Humph. Time for food.

well done mags! you're doing so well - I couldnt turn down chips for peas! lol

Leah - I'd be the same me thinks!

Yeah I am kind of glad I didnt go to uni now alot of my mates that did are struggling. My lil bro is in his 2nd year.

I hope you find something soon honey...

I wish I had never gone. I could have got to where I am now, in the same timescale by going the ILEX route and working through qualifying, but I decided uni would be better, as I was 18 and it gave me a good excuse to get pissed :dohh: and I was very self-assured back then, that I would get in with one of the big london firms that pay their trainees 40k pa.

Aaaah hindsight is a precious thing.

Well done on the chips! I'm having a bad diet week this week. I didn't even weigh in yesterday morning. No point - I've been eating anything I fancy which is really naughty, as I fancy everything bad for me :dohh: I will be hopping back on the bandwagon on Monday - the weekend is not a good time for fresh starts! x x
