The Lovely Looney Great Pretenders

hmmm quick question then - if the tenants are still in there... why on the pics is it totally empty? I assume they where taken before the current ones moved it...

sounds like my mums house in Moseley, its so nice there, and the neighbours are SO friendly too! I hope you get it chick! suonds like the guys being really reasonable with you!

That is partly why we argued that we should be given preference and a viewing - don't really know what state the current tenant has left it in. The flat was a dump when we took it on, but only on a surface level, so hoping the house will be better, or the same...

I think he is being reasonable because I was so pushy tbh :haha: OH is not so sure now though, as the figures are mounting up. After £330 for refs and a guarantor for me, there will be the deposit of a month and a half rent (£975) and then our first months rent at £650. As he has offered to spread the payments out for us though, so it equates to an extra £300 each outgoings in June and July. I think we can cope - that is what my interest free student overdraft is for afterall! :haha: - but Dan is much more the worrier.

OH doesn't make much sense though, as when we thought it was available immediately, he wanted to take it and pay rent on both the house and the flat for this coming month (as our june rent came out yesterday, and our tenancy ends on the 27th) ... that would have been more expensive, but that was OK with him?? What an odd man. x x x

Men are wierd. I sort out all are finances. If anything was left to phill we would be homeless.

Hes meant to be paying my seatbelt fine for me and hasnt managed to do it yet! Lol.

xxx

They really don't - I just checked out his bank balances, and he is rolling in it this month thanks to some good commission... but last night, he was complaining about being skint! And recently, he was moaning to his mate about hating his job, so yesterday said mate text him to let him know of a vacancy in the sports centre that Dan had said he would like to work at... Dan says, "I don't know where he got the idea I wanted a new job from." Ummm, your whinging perhaps??!! x

My OH never tells me how much money he has in his account it winds me up. When I ask hes like... erm I dunno. Im like its my money too I pay all the bills!! Bloody eejit!

xx

i have oh's card because he would just spend all his wages and with me not working at moment we wouldn't be able to afford mortgage if it was left to him to sort bills out. We are getting joint account soon so all bills are in one and he can have his card back. The place looks good hope you manage to sort things out x

I have all his passwords for internet banking, and his pins. He has none of mine. :smug: It's mainly cos he always forgets them though!

I just made a cake in a mug in the microwave. It is tasty and I shall eat it all nom nom nom. I'm having an 'off' week on the diet... after the news I got yesterday, I just wanted fish n chips. and donuts. so I had both  now I want CAAAAAKE. x

oooh i;ve see the recipe for that cake LV - is it nice? my sis said it goes off sooo quick if you dont eat it straight away...

It's alright, not the best cake ever as not as light and fluffy as oven baked. Also, you miss out on the nice crispy bit on the top of the cake... nice enough though. You have to get the timing right, as it dries out rather quickly if you over cook. Don't know about how well it keeps - I just use it for a super fast cake fix cos I'm a cake monster!

Got the viewing moved to tomorrow now :happydance: x

Not sure yet...

Come to think of it, the recipe uses milk and oil in place of butter, so probs the milk that makes it go off quikly? Probably shouldn't have eaten it all in one go... feel a bit rough now :haha:

Grrr bloody landlady is being awkward. We decided we would go ahead, but needed to talk to her first to be sure that we could stay on in the flat until the end of july rather than the end of june.

So I called our lettings agent to let them know, and they said I would need to call the landlady, but that they thought she would be happy with that as it gives her an extra month to market the property.

Called her up and let her know, and she got all funny. Ooooh I don't know, I'll have to think about that bla bla bla. What's there to think about?? It gives her 2 months to find a new tenant, as opposed to 1! Now it feels like we have shot ourselves in the foot, as if she doesn't want us to stay on at all, and we don't like it, we don't have anywhere... this is what you do for trying to do the right and polite thing by your landlady - renters beware!! x

P.S. Mush, I do not deserve your sympathy - I do it to myself by being such a little piggy!

Lol ok ok... Silly piggy!

Land lords and ladies are a funny bunch! One I hadwas awesome and as I found the next tenant to finsh my contract and start afresh I left before the end... With glowing reference... Another I had used to let himself in and use the loo when I was at work... I caught him once and complained so he turned my electric off!

That's the thing as well - we have found someone who will take the place on should we leave, so she is getting it soo easy! All they would need to do is get the other couples references done and hey presto, new tenants a la leah and dan. Humph.

Ladies I have a really embarrassing question to ask. How do you know if swelling in your stomach is just normal weight gain or something else?
My weight gain has been sooooo bad just lately and my stomach is now sticking out firther than my boobs. I'm so embarrassed by it.
I think I just don't want to accept that I'm really fat :(
