the new facebook, shares private tagged albums with mutual friends!!

My sisters profile is completely private, all her albums are set as friends only, & the tagged photos are the same, well now the new facebook has changed it & my friends (who are not her friends) can comment on the pics she's tagged me in how do I change it? It does say now that facebook will share tagged photos with mutual friends, but obviously I don't want that I can't work out the new facebook, its confusing I've deactivated my account coz I'm away this week & I want to find out how to change It back to how it was, completely private can anyone help me

As far as I'm aware the only thing you can do is remove the tag.

You can change it quite easily...

Go to privacy settings.

Go to How tags work.

Click on that option and you'll find a list of options that you can change to suit yourself, I usually have all my stuff on the highest privacy that I can get so am getting quite used to going around changing what FB thinks is best for me *sigh*

There is a way, its to do with the suscribe feature I think, saw a few status updates recently about it asking for friends to unsuscribe from certain things. Have been hunting for it but cant remember who had them up

"Please do me a favor and move your mouse over my name here, wait for the box to load and then move your mouse over the "Subscribe" link. Then uncheck the "Comments and Likes".

I would really rather that my comments on friends and families posts not be made public, thank You! Then re-post this if you don't want your every single move posted on the right side in the "Ticker Box" for everyone to see!

I think they need to default set everyone to the most private and let you change down. It's unfair that what used to be private now isn't.

But I thought you could always see photos of your friends even if you didn't know the people who had posted them. Never tried commenting on them though.

yeh I dont like the fact that some one who isn't in my friends list, can comment on my photo because they are friends with the person I've tagged..think I might stop tagging people!

I'm seriously considering deactivating, I like my FB to be private..it takes a lot for me to add someone to my profile I have pictures of my daughter on there x

Nothing has changed with the tagging. If you tag someone, their friends can view the photo too - even if you put the privacy as friends only.

I have to admit I can't remember if those people could comment on them before, but I'm pretty sure they could.

If you don't want people outside of your friends list to see your photo's, the only way to prevent it is to not tag anyone other than yourself.

yeah you've always been able to see them, just not able to comment on them. the likelihood is if someone you don't know is commenting on a photo you've tagged someone in, that they're only gonna be commenting on the person they know who's tagged anyway.. iykwim.

Yeah exactly. I tagged my husband in a photo of Fran playing with one of his ps3 controllers earlier today and one of his mates has commented "now I know where all your trophies are coming from "

All my pics are set to friends only and today I tagged me and DH in a pic - one of his friends who is not on my list commented on that photo.

Friends of people tagged in photo's have always been able to view the pictures, not comment on them.
